Airborne Speedway dates back to the early 1950's. Nestled in the picturesque Champlain Valley with the shores of Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains of Vermont to the east and the majestic Adirondack Mountains to the West. This auto racing gem is located one hour south of Montreal, Canada, the St.Lawrence Seaway and two miles south of Plattsburgh, New York. We are just three miles from Plattsburgh International Airport. The historic racing oval has been the host to racing legends and past winners of the Daytona 500, Lee Petty, Pete Hamilton, and Geoff Bodine. Also, NASCAR National Modified Champions, Dick Nephew, Bill Wimble, Richie Evans and Jerry Cook, to name a few, have experienced the thrill of racing man and machine on Airborne Speedway's competitive surface. This half mile progressive banked asphalt racing facility is home to five weekly racing divisions with exciting competition every Saturday night throughout the summer. Airborne Speedway is proud to also host the Airborne Driving Experience and the Airborne rental go karts for racing excitement for all ages and driving levels.
